What is the Impact of the AIDS Pandemic?

The AIDS pandemic (world-wide disease) was first identified a little over twenty years ago. In the years since that first diagnosis and description, the disease has spread to all corners of the world, with the African continent being the area where the problem is the most serious. The impact of this disease is widespread and covers virtually all areas of society. The government has responded by creating programs to prevent the spread or the disease.
