What Would You Do?

Now, Mom and Dad, what would you do if your parents gave you the option to pick between two jobs. Well my options are to either be a camp counselor for showchoir camp or work at a greasy burger joint. I personally would rather be the counselor. I would because I get to work with kids, do the one thing that I absolutely love in life, be outdoors, and live on my own for the summer.

Well one reason that the counselor job is better for me then the burger joint is because I get to work with kids. Working with kids is the best way to learn how to deal with other people when I get into the real world. This is because kids all have different personalities, and I have to handle each one differently. Working with kids is a good experience and I would get to be outdoors. What's better then doing the thing I love and helping spread that love in the one place I love to be at?

In addition another reason as to why the counselor job is better is because music is my life. So if I spread my love of music maybe other people will pick up on it. Then they will realize how much music is a part of their life as well. I want to spread the music world even further and to get the passion you have to start at a young age. Since I understand music very well I could help some of the kids who don't understand that well and then they will love it just as much as I do.

Furthermore another reason is I would live on my own for the summer. I mean I would miss everyone here at home but think of all the responsibility I will gain from it. I would be ready to go live on my own the day I got back from being a counselor. I understand if you want me to take the burger joint job because I would still be able to be home. But think of knowledge I will get from living on my own. Also maybe then you guys could trust me more when you are on vacation because I would know what to do.

In conclusion I personally think that the camp counselor job is way better for me. I will learn more about responsibility and share my love of music. Also I get to help kids understand music better and be in the one place I love. So these are my points as to why the counselor job would be better even though the burger joint job is closer to home. Just think about my points and what I said about them and then make your decision.
