When I Think of Black History I Think of Ð'...
When I think of Black History I think of slavery and how our ancestor were brought to this country forcefully, only to face more adversity. I think of how much we've had to suffer to get to a somewhat comfortable position that we're presently living in today. How much blood had been shed. Also how we are presently repressed in the world, even today. "We're kept in our place by The Great Equalizer." I think of how racism is still ever present even through all of the protest and legal cases, racism still exists. I think of how the modern youth forgets about their history. If you don't know your past you have no future ,if one is unaware of their ancestors past their futures event are likely to be repeated .
Although during the Civil Rights movement black such as Malcolm X , Martin Luther King Jr. , and Rosa Parks made a significant impact on black history. These people fought to have equal right for us. One problem is that several youths take for granted many of the privileges that were fought for. For example, civil activist during this time knew their past and wanted to make a change to the social structure of America.
When I think of Black history I think of the diversity within our race. I think of our rich culture , dance, and our innovative way of think. I think of the color of our skin and how each an everyone is unique. How the history and sorrows of our people have molded us in to a multifaceted race.
