I feel that Black on Black crime is a very prominent issue among Black America. We as people should stand together, not tear each down. Two years ago, statistics indicated that the leading cause of death among black males under 30 was reportedly black males under 30. It is sad to know that, the deaths resulting from black on black crime has exceeded the number of blacks lynched since the end of the Civil War.

America seems not to care about its minorities until something happens to affect Middle America. The problem is that black on black crime isn't seen as an American problem, but rather as a black problem. But why should they make it their problem? When the people being affected by it most couldn't careless and obviously aren't up for change.

The African-American is its own worst enemy. Black America has come so far in this world, but yet, we ignore the fact that historical icons such as Harriet Tubman, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Sojourner Truth, and Booker T. Now, I'm not saying that anybody should go out and save the world, but just by keeping your self away from the negativity and violence can help Black America by having one less murder victim.

Also, the reason for black on black crime always seems to be very trivial. On shows such as N.Y. Undercover, blacks are displayed killing each other over drugs, money, sex, and other things that are not worth taking a life over. I can't even count how many times a day I turn on the news to find out that another African-American has been gunned down, stabbed, beaten, or rapped. We are killing our race; the race that fought so hard to get us where we are
