The setting took place in Alaska during the gold mining seasons. It was winter in Alaska at the time Jack Conroy left his town to search for his dead father's gold claim with his friend Alex Larson. During the gold mining seasons, many men went and searched for gold. Jack couldn't go to his father's claim alone so he teamed up with Alex to find what's rightfully his. There were snow on every rock, tree, and ground he looked at.
The plot of White Fang was for Jack Conroy to find his father's claim with his friend Alex Larson. And also to overcome any dangers they might come upon on the way there. Jack and Alex were to climb the hills and mountains, over rocky paths and snow trails until they reached their destination.
Some characteristics that Jack has is that he's very courageous and brave when it comes to fighting packs of wolves that seize their supplies or who just need humans to feed off of. Jack is a young man who faces many dangers and major conflicts like his father's death and the fact that if he hadn't met Alex, he would've gone all by himself and would probably die trying to. Alex Larson is a brave man who is very popular in many towns. He also has many hunting, fighting, and wolf scaring abilities. Jack chose to go to San Francisco but had a change of hearts and went back to stay with White Fang. To me I think he loved White Fang so much that they had a sudden attachment that kept them together. If Jack had gone to San Francisco, he would have never seen White Fang and would never go back to his gold mining ways.
The resolution in White Fang is that Jack decided to stay with White Fang and his father's claim instead of going with Alex to run the hotel in San Francisco. Jack would have forgotten whom White Fang was and would be scared of Wolves like he was before. This was probably one of the best choices Jack had ever made in his entire life. He would have forgotten where his father's claim was and also forget who he was if he had gotten
