Why Canon DSLR are better than others?

Photography revolutionizes how memories are kept. One can take a photograph and make it a memory that could never be forget. The introduction of the Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) over the past decade gave rise to better pictures quality and simplicity in photography. Camera companies developed superior cameras to dominate the market, but Canon are the company that dominates all camera brand. For a long time most professionals most preferred Canon because, “Canon's DSLR’s are much better than Nikon's in features and image quality” (Earussi, “Why most pros uses Canon than Nikon”). The competition between the Canon and other camera companies like Nikon has occur for more than decades now and Canon still beats out the competition (Samuels, “Japan has spoken: Canon Dominates, Sony Dethrones Olympus and Nikon Stutters”). The technology, and the affordable price point makes Canon the best camera brand money can buy.

The ergonomics of Canon DSLRs is unlike other, Canon DSLRs has all the setting in a place that is easy to find. Canon’s command and control wheel can be “scrolled through very quickly allowing for quick changes of settings on the go” (Korinek, “Canon vs Nikon part II”) Professionals will prefer this button placement of over Nikon’s, because it allows for them to quickly adjust settings in manual mode. NK guys prefers the set up and user interface of Canons over Nikon and explained that

“I really like the ergonomics of Canon’s modern user interface. Functions are usually sensibly arranged and well thought out. The cameras feel comfortable to hold nice handgrips and rounded designs on all variations. The rear command dial on midrange and higher cameras is a fabulous feature and being able to adjust shutter speed and aperture with the same hand that’s holding the camera is brilliant”. (NK guy, “Why did I choose Canon EOS film cameras?”).

Professionals like NK guy clearly explained that Canon has a better overall design than other companies and his choices for Canon cameras was a good one. Ergonomics is what amateur and professionals need to capture the perfect moment. Canon has made their products with ergonomics in mind in all price range.

The Build quality on Canon are also “second to none” [the best] (DRTV, Pro DSLR + Cheapo Lens vs "Cheapo" DSLR + Pro Lens) and yet affordable. Prosumer and Professional DSLR from canon are, also made from the best materials in the camera industries unlike other camera manufactures that uses combination of material. The canon 7D mark II for an example has a “Magnesium alloy body” and “Shutter durability up to 200,000 cycles and enhanced dust and weather resistance” (Canon, Canon.ca). The build quality of the 7D mark II make it a good camera for Wildlife and Sports photography. Semi-Professional photographer Anthony Thurston explains that “I have been really happy with the 7D Mark II, and it has fulfilled every single one of my expectations coming into the review. I am highly considering it as my next DSLR, and any of you who enjoy shooting sports or wildlife would do well to consider it, too” (Thurston, Canon 7D mark II, A sports & wildlife perspective). Camera like the 7D mark II comes with the the build quality of a pro DSLRs like the Nikon D4S, and yet it cost a fraction of the Nikon. It is as fast as the D4S “but priced for amateurs, the 7D Mark II ticks all the boxes” (Lawton, “10 best DSLR’s). This proofs that Canon is amateur friendly. They produce a camera that has professional capabilities and has a good build quality and amateurs could still afford.

The image quality and video quality in Canon’s cameras are excellent, most professionals prefer it over others and its difficult to compare with other company in its price range. Canon’s revolutionary camera the 5D mark II revolutionizes how video can be capture in a DSLR. Before the 5D mark II capturing video at HD resolution (720P) is far from reality until the debut of the 5D mark II in 2008 (Wilhelm, “Canon 5D mark III review”). The 5D mark II was a stepping stone to the most used and most popular professional DSLR in the world. This DSLR in its time produce one of the sharpest image in low-light.
