I believe we as a society can normally excel in breaking apart a situation/problem by examining the analysis of certain problems, issues, and challenges. Sometimes we lack the familiarity to form dynamic mental pictures and/or models of problems to the effect of a certain desired answer, solution, and/or outcome. These mental pictures should provide an accurate representation of key elements, drivers, and relationships of a particular environment or problem, issue, and/or challenge; mastering these skills makes us better at proposing solutions. We must strive to keep simplicity in constant balance while communicating with others in planning and the execution of an action.

We have the capability to create simplistic decisions or designs in our planning skills that possess fundamentals of a successful business, government, or society. This requires strong values, personal attributes, and a basic can-do attitude; one not stained by some adverse expression of bias. The ultimate goal we're trying to achieve is to reach a quick and deliberate decision; one having clarity and concision. How do I solve situational problems and stay focused on objective orientation? I use 20 years worth of my military training as a foundation in framing successful conclusions. As an observer or problem solver in any given decision making process I use the following basic military analytical steps to decision making:

* Receipt of Mission

* Mission Analysis

* Course of action development

* Course of action analysis

* Course of action comparison

* Course of action approval

* Orders production and action development

* Preparation and execution

Within these business and operational decision making processes lays a detailed analysis waiting for discovery. This analysis, in conjunction with the framework development flowchart confirms or denies successful planning for any desired outcome and will support the above decision making design. Design of this analysis is a direct approach to critical and creative thinking. We have a need to understand, to visualize these processes or concepts, and to describe a complex repair of an ill-structured problem while developing approaches to manage or solve them successfully. I believe what would have changed Ron's decision framing and would have led him to a different decision could have been if there was a lack of information provided by the sales representative, the information materials the sales representative brought to the meeting, and/or poor sales techniques. I believe his expectations of the detailed oriented presentation and an up-close and personal correlation to buying a soft drink each day for a dollar with equipment lifecycle maintenance plans enabled him to develop a course
