Worldview Essay
A person with a Christian worldview understands that God is good, holy, and pure. He wants the best for his children. God is not only a loving God, but He is just (Exodus 33:19-20. 34:6-7). Therefore, since he is good, he can only create good. The Bible says that He has created us with good thoughts and has given us a future and a hope. Mankind, the earth, and all the living beings were created in his perfection (Genesis 1:25-26). However, when mankind stepped outside of God’s loving parameters by disobeying His word, God had to punish man by demonstrating his justice (Genesis 2:17). God demonstrated his great love for us by withholding his judgment on mankind and placing it on his only begotten son (Genesis 3:15).
A Christian understands that man was born wicked and sinful (Jeremiah 17:9). Mankind needs law and the Ten Commandments to constrain him. Moral law must be based on the unchanging Word of God and not on the whims and reasoning of man (Proverbs 16:25, Malachi 3:6). The Word of God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. A Christian needs to understand that he is not his own moral agent. Any moral decision or reasoning is based solely on the Word of God (Proverbs 3:5-8). We cannot come up with our own compromises and border the line of sin. A true Christian will stay far away from sin and not try to push the line.
A Christian should be a man or woman of integrity. He should always strive to honor God whether in public or in private. A Christian should hear the Word of God and obey it. For the Bible says that whoever loves God will obey his commandments. There should be a discernable difference between the Christian and Non-Christian (Psalm 1:1-6).
A Christian should vote for men and women that are God fearing and legislate according to God’s moral laws (Exodus 18:21). For any law or government decision we should always go back and see what the Word of God has to say about a particular situation. If it doesn’t line up with the Word of God, then don’t support it.
First of all a Christian must have a thorough knowledge of the scriptures regarding homosexuality. (Romans 1:18-27, Leviticus 18:22, 20:13, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10). We have a serious problem in society today where people accept
