A first date is one of the most memorable and life changing event that many girls go through. The ideal first date usually consists of flowers, candy, dinner, and a wonderful handsome prince. The first date is an overrated night in which many girls get their hopes up but it does not goes out as planned. Like many girls, I was a dreamer who wanted to experience the overrated night. I wanted the candy and the flowers; and I had planned out the evening in my mind and how it would turn out. I wanted the whole entire shebang, but I did not get any of it. My first date did not include the fancy dinner with a violinist or a knight in shinning armor at my house with a bundle of red roses; nor did it include an over elaborated evening with dancing, fined deserts, or a horse carriage ride home. Even though the date was not the enchanted fairy tale that I was hoping for, it was still a night that I hold deep in my heart because I experienced for the first time, a roller coaster of emotions starting from the meet and greet, the heart of the date, and the ending of a once in a life time moment.
On the day of the date, I was beleaguered with trepidation that the date would go horribly wrong since Mother Nature was suffering through her mood swings. The afternoon sky was consisted of huge smog of gray fogs that seemed like it was going to pour down acidic rain on me any seconds. I was in my new outfit that consisted of a baby blue tank top blouse with tiny little flowers scatter all across, a pair of kaki slack that was just purchased at Express, and my newly cleaned strapless tan high-heels sandals. My hair was silky-smooth and curly like those shampoo models on TV, and my face was glistened a light tan tone from the LancÐ"Ò'me concealer that I used. I stood in the front entrance of the mall, fiddling with my fingers waiting anxiously and nervously like a student waiting to get her diploma. I kept on pacing back and forth, trying to hide my frustration that he was ten minutes late. All kind of crazy assumptions went through my mind, thinking that he stood me up or that he found another date, which caused me to over stress myself in a petty situation. As he walked towards me a few minutes later, I was beset with anger as I did not see him with any flowers or candies. I wanted to run away from him like Wilma Rudolph, using all my strength in order to get away, but I just stood there paralyzed not knowing what to say. After I broke away from my daze, I decided to give him another chance so I greeted him with a polarize smile and a firm handshake, letting him know that I was not a push over. He carried a majestic name; Phillip, a name that made him seemed like a royal prince, my prince. Phillip was a short Asian guy, about my height but a couple centimeters taller. He had short spike up black hair with blonde highlights, and star glazing light brown eyes. It seemed like he was nothing but mere perfection until he smiled those cricked teeth of his. He was dressed like a preppy white California boy, wearing a white Tommy Hilfiger polo shirt with elongated Ralph Lauren kaki pants, he was a perpetrator. After our meet and greet, Phillip led me into the two story mall as he opened the door for me, he showed me a sign of chivalry.
As we stepped into the medium sized mall, I noticed a set of beaming lights shining into my eyes, which made me realized that the ambiance there was much better than the one that was outside. We walked around the different exotic stores exchanging stories about out past, present, and future. We could not seem to stop talking for our conversation was such a confabulation that we felt comfortable with each other. As he opened his mouth to talk each time, I was lost into the sound of his voice as it sounded like the music of an angel playing the harp. As we continued our journey around the mall, we stepped into the arcade where we acted like kids in a candy store. In the arcade we took up different roles like we were actors in a movie. We became ninja fighters as we fought each other in a game of Tecken and we also became NASCAR racers as we competed with each other to get to the finish line. However, the best game that we played was Dance Dance Revolution, in which we both embarrassed ourselves trying to keep up with the different arrows. As we leaved the arcade my face was filled with a glistened of sweat but instead of being disgusted, Phillip wiped it with a piece of tissue. His gesture made my heart beat so fast that I was afraid that my heart beat would turned into a cacophony of sounds. As we strolled around the different stores, Phillip
