The website that I chose to explore for this paper is www.clubmed.com. Clubmed.com, represents the booking website for all the resort, hotels and amenities that Club Med offers. The reason that I wanted visit this site is because in the past, I have heard Club Med described as a "playground" or "summer camp" for adults. Being a mother of two children, naturally I was intrigued. After you choose your country of residence, it brings you to a main page that is filled with "Last Minute Deals", "Early Booking Offers", and "All Inclusive Offers". While filtering through all of this information I did eventually find a direct booking feature that allows you to choose your destination/resort, dates etc. At the top of the website I found what I thought was a useful tool where you can choose the resort that best suites you. They offer specific resorts for golfing, sports, green globe, winter sports, well-being, and children. I did a general search to find availability. I entered my date of departure, number of adults and children. Once I entered in the number of children, it asked me for the date of birth of each child. I found it slightly unsettling that they needed the birthdates of the children. They could have just as easily asked for an age number. As the search results came up they separated by coasts-Caribbean/Americas, Mediterranean/Atlantic, European and Country side, and African/Middle East. I randomly choose the Caribbean and Coasts of the Americas and had to enter dates and adult/children information all over again.
