Applying to colleges isn't always the easiest thing to do. Choosing St. Joseph's College for one of my options has opened me to many new idea's. Growing older life isn't always the easiest and certain options need to be explored. For example, staying close to home or going away for college has crossed my mind numerous times. Also, my interests and hobbies vary why I choose certain colleges.
Starting college, I must explore all of my options. Knowing that I am looking into majoring into psychology narrows down my choices for choosing colleges. When starting college, I know I will be interested and looking out for certain things. In college, I am also interested in the activities it has to offer. I feel compelled to join a college that has a newspaper or it's own radio station. By doing this, I feel I can become more independent and express my individuality.
Also, going into college I have to consider my hobbies. Some of my hobbies are reading, swimming, relaxing, writing, and helping other people. These are all factors to consider when thinking about college. It would be wonderful if every college had a reading and writing club. I am also interested in how large the campus is or if it is a comfortable size.
There are more than a few reasons why I enjoy about St. Joseph's college. It is a local college. I would go to the Patchogue campus were I would be commuted from Bayport. The time would take about fifteen minutes, which is rather reasonable for me. Knowing that I would be so close to college would also be extremely comfortable for myself and I could easily adapt to the college life better. Studying would be a lot easier and getting back and forth to school would be the easiest. Another reason I enjoy this school is because it offers psychology. Also, certain people have told me how nice of a campus and school St. Joseph's is.
In considering my choices for college, I feel that St. Josephs is my top college for staying local. Because eighty percent of undergraduates become accepted, I feel I have a good chance of being accepted. With my hard work and academic abilities I feel I can portray St. Joseph's ideal student. The interests and hobbies I feel are most important, I'm sure I could find here. My options have been considered and I feel St Joseph's is a high quality, well established, good ground school that I feel is an excellent choice.
