A- Education:
Point 1: developed way of writing
Egypt- Hieroglyphs India- Sanskrit
Point 2: great at math
Egypt- number system based on 10, fractions India- geometry, concept of 0
Point 3: thrived in literature
Egypt- Story of Sinuhe India- Aladdin (still here today) or Mahabharata
Point 4: great at astronomy
Egypt- created calendar that has 3 seasons of 120 days and 5 extra days for the feast of the gods India- Aryabhata (famous mathematician and astronomer) figured the exact number of days in a year, calculated the approximate size of Earth, said planets were spheres, and was the first to say that Earth spins on its axis
Point 5: medicine
Egypt- treated indigestion with castor oil, and treated hair loss with dog toes India- stitched up wounds with front claws of giant ants, cures from bark, leaves, roots, and minerals
Point 6: Only boys could attend schools
Egypt- only boys could attend schools like scribe schools India- only boys could attend universities.
Point 7: arts- skilled in metalwork
Egypt/Kush- out of metal, like iron, they made spears, arrows, and swords
India- out of metal, they made gold and copper coins

Point 1: the kings were alway
Egypt- Ramses II, known for military leadership- fought Hittite Empire and always in front of the group when in battle
India- Ashoka, who expanded empire south and east through bloody wars and kept strong army
Point 2: both had lowest class as poor people
Egypt- Peasants, lowest and largest class India- in caste system- the untouchables- did work others thought dirty
