1. It is the line that forms on the right. Wait your turn. You need to follow directions. A Sense of orderly fashion.
2. It is the don't in don't shove. It's about respect. About Patience. No pushing.
3. It is the hole in the stuffed shirt through which the sawdust slowly trickles. It is justice for wrongdoing.
4. It is the dent in the high hat. Democracy has high power. It can make big time decisions.
5. Democracy is the recurrent suspicion that more than half of the people are right more than half of the time. We as people are the ones who are right most of the time.
6. It is the feeling of privacy in the voting booths, the feeling of communion in the
libraries, the feeling of vitality everywhere. Being a part of something that
contributes to how we make changes in everyday situations. A part of
something, which we can use to our benefits. A place where we can go and learn.
7. Democracy is a letter to the editor. It is something that can be reviewed.
8. Democracy is the score at the beginning of the ninth. There's still hope. It isn't
Over yet.
9. It is an idea which hasn't been disproved yet. Hasn't been approved.
10. A song the words of which have not gone bad. We haven't been failed. Our
Voices our heard.
11. It's the mustard on the hot dog and the cream in the rationed coffee. Democracy
Is the sugar coating of society. Can't have one without the other.
