The title of the book I read was The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath. It’s a non-fiction book, which means it is make-believe. The author is H.P. Lovecraft; he is a horror book writer. Some of his other books are At The Mountains of Madness, The Doom that cam to Sarnath, and The Tomb. The publisher of this book is Del Rey, published in 1939. You can buy this book for $5.99, at your local bookstore.
The main character is Randolph Carter; he is just basically a normal guy, but this book takes place in a world where you go when you dream. So he can’t return to waking life because his body is dead. His goal in this book is to find the city of Unknown Kadath because no one else has ever found it. The plot in the book is he trying to find the city and to return back to Cavern of Fire.
I chose this book because it was the only thing around to read. It’s pretty hard to read this book, so it took some time to read. There was some difficult vocabulary in it too, big words that you might have to look up. There was no dialogue in this book, he never used quote marks and would only tell you what the people in the story said. The plot in this book is not realistic, it could not happen. Details in this book were pretty much suspense or horror. I think this book is made for mostly guys but, anyone can read it if they want to. I say this because it is a horror book. This book was interesting but it was pretty long. I would only recommend this book if you like suspense or horror. Overall it was a good book but, it was a very long read.
