1. What is your name? My name is Elizabeth Robinson I am a wife and mother. I have four beautiful sons named Fritz, Ernest, Jack and young Francis.
2. How did you feel when your ship began to sink?
I was afraid and sad it felt as if something had went through my heart. I wiped the tears from my eyes and my family all fell to there knees and prayed.
3. What was some of the most frightening moments on the island ?
During a bad storm when the ship began to take on water and began to sink. Another one was when a huge snake ate the family mule, Grizzle.
4. How did you get from the ship to the land?
My husband and son Fritz built a raft out of some empty casks found in the ship's hold. My three oldest sons rowed the raft and my husband steered it.
5. What kind of animals did you have?
We had on board a cow, a donkey, two goats, six sheep, lambs, and a pregnant pig. My son Jack also found two large dogs that he named Turk and Flora.
6. Where did you want to build your house?
I wanted to build my house in the tall fig trees. My husband agreed with me and told me this place was beautiful. We named our home the Falcon's Nest.
7. What did you do during the winter and during the storm season?
We lived in the cave we had found by digging in the rock. We made it into a home by adding rooms and windows and even a indoor stable for our animals.
8. How long have you lived on the island?
We have lived here for ten years since we were thrown on this coast. And each year was much like the last.
