G.G. Music Project F Block
In my project I chose a variety of songs. I have fast paste songs and some slow paste songs. I chose these songs because they want to make jump and some may even make you down to earth and very relaxed. My choice of songs date back from the swinging 30's to the banging music of today. Jitter Bug by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy is most likely the flag ship song of my CD.
Jitter Bug is a very fast paste song at first but then three to four minutes into the song it starts to become very mellow and slow paste. The song is an instrumental and should never have lyrics added to it. This will most likely relate to the character of Gatsby. Since in the beginning he was very wild and a party monster but after he had Daisy come over to his house he began to slow down and throw fewer parties.
The middle songs on the CD which are song three and five start to slow down. For this stage of the CD I would Warren G's Regulate the instrumental version. The song's genre is called G Funk. This stands for gangster funk. This also stands for a hip hop vibe type of music but with smooth almost funky lyrics.
The final two songs on CD are instant classics to me. The fifth song is probably my favorite swing song. It is called Swing Melody. The song has that catchy horn in the opening verse then bam nice smooth tunes after that. Then after that song is Jay Z's Encore instrumental version.
Jay Z also had a great story on how he became rich and famous. He had to do deal drugs just pay for his groceries. This life also sounds like the one Gatsby had when he was growing up but instead of dealing drugs he was a racketeer. This was the last song that Jay Z made before he retired just last year. I chose this song since it was the last song of this magnificent career so to me it represents Gatsby in the end of the book when Wilson shoots Gatsby then takes his own life in the process which represents a end to an all so great career that
