INTRODUCTION
The Tasmanian Migrant Information System (TMIS) is a user interaction system that has been designed specifically to the Business and Skilled Migration unit.
The (TMIS) allows users in the department of Tourism, Arts to access the features within the TMIS to create, manage, manipulate migrants' data. The system provides an automated reporting system to allow for streamlining of the reporting process. It also provides an address book for migration agents and a mail-merge system. Finally, the (TMIS) supports the user administration system and the activity log to tracks changes in the database.
There is only one account associated within the system which is the user account. Users have fully access to the system including the administration system.
GETTING STARTED
There is a basic requirement tin order to be able to access the TMIS.
Firstly, you must have an authorisation to use the TMIS, which includes installing the software into your computer and obtaining a username.
