Case Study Analysis Paper
Even though Paul was the new campus recruiter at ABC for just six months and this was his first recruiting effort he really had no idea how the interoperations at ABC worked. In Carl recruiting efforts to hire and train 15 new employees showed us just that in this analysis. Carl lacked organization skills that were needed for an event like this, he was a procrastinator, and he was unprepared. Carl waiting two weeks after speaking with Monica about the questions and concerns that she had about the new hires he assured her everything would be ok without really even knowing.
He had not check to see if everything was completed before he answered her questions. Carl decided after the holidays to pull out the new trainees file and found that some of the new trainees did not have applications completed or their transcripts on file, and none of them had been sent to the clinic for the mandatory drug screen. He then searched the orientation manuals and found only three copies with several pages missing from each. It was Carl's responsibilities to understand the complete process of a new hired employee when Monica contacted Carl about the training on May 15 and asked Carl would he be prepared for June 15 with training schedule, orientation, manuals, policy booklets, physicals, drug tests, and a host of other issues, which Carl would coordinate for the new hires.
Carl assured Monica that everything would be arranged in time. What he should have done was to convey and question are concerns to her at that time. Although it was Carl's responsibility for the new hires Management plays a huge fault in the errors that had taken place so far, not to mention that even the training room would not be available on that day, do to computer training going on for the month. Management plays a huge part in the success or failure of Carl.
Carl had only been with ABC for 6 months you would think that they would have given him more tools to accomplish what needed to be done, and maybe a little micro management to make sure that details were being taking care of. It may have had something to do with Managements lack of training, lack of supervision, lack of planning, and time management was not displayed in this team effort.
