Oprah is a firm believer of education and the power of learning. She advocates the importance of knowledge to help better the youth and future leaders. Through her own experience and adversity, she knows that the key to success besides hard work and determination is possession of good education. Taught to read by her grandmother at the age of 3, Oprah became a voracious reader--a habit she retains to this day. Books became her outlet to the world and the basis of her passionate belief in education. Under her father's strict rules and high standards, she became inspired to aim and achieve more from life. Through her early years in life filled with hardship, she was always gifted with intelligence and graduated as an honors student.

As a television pioneer, magazine and cable network founder, producer, philanthropist, radio programmer, editorial director, online leader, and her honorary achievements, Oprah is undeniably one of the best business minded personality in the 21st century. She's done it all and through media and public services, she's not only able to reach out but has amassed a great fortune through her media and publishing interests and uses her fame and wealth to positively influence the lives of people. She continues to influence and inspire people worldwide with her example of overcoming great odds to achieve great success financially, spiritually and socially.

Oprah is One of the Most Influential People of the 20th Century by Time magazine and received a Lifetime Achievement award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Through the power of media, she has created an unparalleled connection with people around the world. She has entertained, enlightened, and uplifted millions of viewers. Her accomplishments as a global media leader and philanthropist have established her as the most respected and admired public figures today.
