Love

INTRO

Yesterday , Feb 14th . A day when love forms a compound with air that sends us runnin to (or from) cupid's arrows. Heres my hearty congrats to those who managed to get hit. And for those who dint, Um.. Don't worry , there's always a next time.

Good evening one and all , I'm Prasant From the department of Visual Communication and my topic for today is "How to make some one fall in love with you".

LOVE Has baffled us humans for millions of years, and now science is beginning to unravel its mysteries.

Lets take a peek into what kick starts it , what runs it , and what kills it in the end.

PEA BRAIN

At the innermost core of infatuation scientists say, is a chemical called phenylethylamine or PEA. Scientists say that only PEA-brained people can fall in love.

PEA makes your heart palpitate, your hands sweat and your internal organs turn to jelly. It should be noted that this chemical is also responsible for the wanting to do wicked, wild and unsavory (at times probably illegal) things to your date, even before the second one's been arranged.

Unfortunately, we can't buy syringes filled with PEA to inject into our Guy/Gal's bloodstreams (if only), but we can at least develop techniques that'll trigger PEA responses, giving them the feeling that they love us more than life itself.

GRABBING ATTENTION

For the ladies: Its very easy to grab a guy's attention , just be yourself and make sure ure not very loud and annoying , coz guys don't like loud women even if they have a striking resemblance to Cleopatra . The Old Hindi movie style "catch my hanky" trick aint gonna work either. For all u know , hes gonna assume that its filled with snort & use a stick to lift it , which would turn out to be rather embarrassing.

For ma Brothas: Most women hate guys who overact . So try your best to cut out on the Yo! S and Maccha s. And make sure your "oh so sexy" mobile phone is far out of sight.

SIGHT

Unrelenting eye contact creates a highly emotional state, which is similar to fear. Thus, making strong, almost threatening eye contact jolts the sensation of being in love.

On average people only look at each other 30 - 60 per cent of the time, which won't ignite the flames of amour.

Letting your eyes linger that little bit longer is a crucial first step in making them fall in love with you. Do drop your gaze occasionally though - you want them to think that you're captivated with them, not mentally challenged or a social retard.

BODY TALK

Before that first chat it's imperative that you let your body do all the talking, so be aware of what message yours is sending out.

Smiling, nodding gently, brushing your hair back and sitting with your hands open says 'I'm approachable, come and talk to me.'

Don't sit with your arms or legs crossed, put your hair over your face or fidget, it says 'you make me uncomfortable, I lack self confidence and I have more issues than a copy of tinkle.'

It sounds so basic, but we're rarely aware of what signals we're giving out, so be more conscious. Thinking that they're gorgeous isn't enough on its own. Your body needs to tell them.

You don't have to drool and revolve like a dirty dog against their leg - an approachable body and a welcoming smile is all you need.

SCARE THEM

A walk across a rickety bridge, or going to see a horror flick will start the process. However, if you can manage a bungee jump, or a deep-sea dive, way to go bro...

In short you need to give them butterflies, which floods the brain a whole mug load of PEA. Doing something new together is another clever way of worming your way into their affections. The excitement that stems from learning or doing something different is staggering, and as an added bonus, they'll equate their newfound positive feelings with you.
