There are many different drugs out in the world, but marijuana seems to be a favoured one to talk about. Legalizing the drug is the main topic people discus and there seems to be a lot of people rooting for marijuana to be aloud. See the problem with there arguments is that they all have the same ones. Some say its good for you and that's why doctors prescribe it, some say that its better than cigarettes and they are legal, and this is the one I hear all the time is that people do it any way. United States President Barrack Obama gives his thoughts on the discussion, "the answer is, no, I don't think that is a good strategy to grow our economy," (White House Online Obamas Buzz Killer 573600). I agree with Obama and I have some issues to discus on the situation. Some people actually believe that legalizing marijuana will help boost our economy and it will create more job opportunities. There are endless arguments debating the economical issues, health issues, crime issues , and addiction issues on marijuana. One thing I think people forget when doing drugs is that it effects your work life along with other aspects. Finding jobs can be hard for drug abusers because that's not what companies look for, and believe me, quite a few people make it very easy to discover the truth. "A study of 1,150 hiring managers by Careerbuilder.com found 26 percent of managers admitted to using search engines such as Google and 12 percent of managers said they used social networking sites like Facebook.com in their hiring process." You can find it on facebook but also by some signs that include dropping grades, loss of interest of something, mood swings, a sudden influence of a new bunch of friends, withdrawal, red eyes, weight loss, fatigue or hyperactivity and many more. If you notice many of these signs in someone they may be under the influence of drugs. Also employed or unemployed marijuana users spend loads of their money on the drug. They waste their hard earned money on a drug and leave their families with no food or supplies. It breaks families apart. A lot of times these situations start with a doctor wrongly judging a person and giving them a prescription of medical marijuana. People will start abusing their privileges and start overdosing and then start buying illegally because they are addicted. The marijuana given to patients is supposed to help pain or nausea, but some say it doesn't work and it's just a waste of money. "An editorialist states that these analyses show that cannabinoids have inadequate efficacy for pain control (compared with newer non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug regimens) and unacceptable side effects when used for emesis." (Cannabinoids for Pain and Nausea: They Work, but There's a Price). These methods prove to be less effective than something an eye doctor can give you. Marijuana is the most used drug among American children. I think when provinces and states started legalizing medical marijuana a lot of youth got the wrong idea about the drug. If kids see it as a medicine then they would ignore the harms. It's like a pill commercial where they say all the side effects but you can't
