MDG Paragraph

I believe that hunting is morally correct because if we didn't hunt that then we would get all the nutrients we need to survive. If you hunt for the sport of it or for a trophy is wrong because that's a waste of an animal. In the story Rainsford classified the world as the "hunter and the huntees" (17). This means that the ones with the guns (hunters) and the ones without (huntees) if you think about it this statement is actually true because the animals can't defend themselves when there a human with a gun. Also in the story General Zaroff said, "life is for the strong, to be lived by the strong, and if need be, taken by the strong. The weak of the world were put here to give the strong pleasure"(25). In this statement Zaroff is classifying the world as the strong and the week. Almost the exact same as Rainsford opinion but this is different because Zaroff is speaking about everyone and Rainsford is talking about animals and humans. I think that Zaroff's interpretation of hunting is considered murder. Murder differs from hunting because murder is killing a person hunting is killing an animal. Hunting can be considered morally wrong or right depending on your scruples.
