Many empires have been created over the corse of history but to create an empire do you need to become a tyrant to your people to do it. Napoleon Bonapart created an empire but did he become a tyrant like so many others or was he a hero to his people. Napoleon was born on Augest 15 1769 in Ajaccio on the island of Corsica off the southern cost of France. But everyone dies at one point and Napoleon died on May 5 1821 at the age of 51 .Napoleon created the largest empire since the days of the Roman Empire and had an area of 2,100,000km. But did Napoleon become a tyrant to the French people in order to create this empire. By looking at diffrent things Napoleon did we will get a better understanding at who Napoleon was and how he ruled and ultimately if he was a hero to the French people or just another tyrant. By looking at the wars Napoleon waged to expanded his empire and by taking a look at the War of the First Coalition and the War of the Third Coalition. It is one thing to win wars but it is another to lead a countery to greatness out side of the battle field by looking at the diffrent civil projects done by Napoleon to bring more power to France and to make it more rich and prosperis. And last is one of Napoleons greatest legacys the Napolonic Code that brought new laws to France and changed it forever. By looking at them may be able to get a better look at Napoleon and if he was a hero to the French people or just another tyrant now on to the wars that brought him to power.
