Julie is approximately seventy four years old. She comes from a very fascinating, cultural, and musical family. She grew up in the Denver, Colorado. She traveled and lived in many places. One of her fondest memories is living in Denver. She hated the cold but remembered living with her family and brother having the best teenage years anyone could ever imagine. Her original family came from Germany and many other foreign countries such as Sweden and France. She does not remember much of her parents lives, except that they were born in America and raised their family here too. She was born in Denver along with her brother. She had many friends who also shared her strong passion for music. She remembers playing a lot of dress-up with her mother clothes. She and her friends would run around in their enormous backyard playing in the grass and soaking up the sun as she put it. She spent a lot of her time writing poetry and creating songs. She still has a box full of all the poems and songs that she wrote as a child, and loves to go back and reminisce about the times spent as a child. One day in particular she started to tell me about.
I sat with my older brother on the porch, we sat sipping our homemade lemonade our mother just made. I started to write a song about the flowers blooming and the birds flying around. My friends and I were planning on going to go to the town carnival. I could not wait to meet them and ride the ferris wheel all night. It was the little things like that that made put the biggest smiles on my face. I just loved hanging on the porch, swinging on the swings in my yard, and meeting my friends for a social night in the town. As teenagers we loved going to the movies and tops to meet boys and just talk about pointless gibberish that girls talk about. I lived a simple life, but a very stress free, fulfilling life.
