Over Obsessed Gaming

I am not a hardcore gamer myself, but from time to time I enjoy playing. The longest stretch I have had playing video games would be at least 9 to 10 hours. I played that long because I really like all of the assassins creed games. However, my brother is a hardcore gamer, he plays Minecraft on our Xbox 360 everyday all day. He plays for over 16 hours a day. He does not eat very much, maybe a small snack here and there. During his long everyday video game binge he does not take any bathroom breaks as needed, he does not drink very many fluids; he becomes extremely moody, and very rude to everyone, especially my younger brother. So as a result in trying to make this entire stop. My mom tried taking the Xbox 360 away from him. Nevertheless, either at night or whenever my mom left, he got it by himself or my father would give it back him.

I think that video games could have a negative effect on teenagers. But then again video games could not have an effect on them at all. In addition, I think that a possible reason for kids and teenagers to play so much video games is maybe their parents do not get them engaged in other activities around their house. Nevertheless, maybe they use video games to take their mind of a problem they are having at school such as possible bullying. It could just be that they really enjoy the game they are playing for such extreme hours.
