In Bonhoeffer: Agent of Grace I feel that Bonhoeffer should have never agreed to become a spy for the Resistence. I feel agreeing to that was suicide and may have known that also. In the movie he was very unsure of doing it. One reason that he should have not done it is he knew there was a chance it would not work. Another reason is that the Gestapo was watching him. Another reason I feel is he could have tried to help people out of Germany. But at the same time I believe he made a semi-smart move. He was able to change some people by the way they think. An example is Knobloch in the beginning he asked Diethrich way he does what he does. Knobloch seeing Diethrich help the boy in the cell next to him. My first reason that Bonhoeffer should not have became a spy is knew it was a shaky situation helping the resistance

While doing that he could have been persuading people to get out of Germany before the Nazis started to take over completely. But at the same time that was what he was doing with the resistance

. In the movie he asked to help get the Jews out of Germany. He was asked to help because people trust him. So I do still think it was not a good idea to be part of the resistance

. But with them him did help some people in the process. Like I stated he change the thinking of Knobloch. Knobloch in the beginning of the movie asks Dietrich why does he keep trying to help people. By the end of the movie he was helping Maria and Bonhoeffer communicate with each other. But being with the resistance

had to make a hard decision when he asked to bless the man that is about to try and kill Adolf Hitler. Diethrich was very unsure of doing that. When he was being questioned by Roeder after being arrested I feel he was in a way lying to Roeder. He didn't really say anything but him being a man of God he should have went ahead and answer Roeder's
