Changes in the World over the past 40 years

Obviously, The only thing that does not change is the change itself. The world has gone through several changes over the past 40 years. These changes came from all different areas. Simpy, 40 years ago a person can not imagine to surf on the internet or talking on the phone wherever you want. But now we could do anything on the internet or talk on the cellphone wherever we want in the world. That changes in the technology is making the human life easier.

We do all of our work on the internet today. We order foods from the internet, we transfer money from the internet, we could talk with our friends or relatives no matter how far they are from the internet. I could say that the internet is the world's biggest invention in the past 40 years and it could not be denied how it changed the people's lives effectively and quickly in a short notice. There are too many pros that internet has, but it has cons too. It is safe to say that it connects more and more people through social websites such as facebook, twitter, google + , but it is also making the people more and more lonely. People wish to talk on the facebook or twitter rather than face to face talking. There is not just internet to blame, spread of the cell phones are one the reasons to make people more lonely too. Of course, usage of the technology in a bad way or good way is all depends on the person who use it. Furthermore, people could use the internet to start your own business without paying expensive rents to place your goods. Simply, a person can rent a warehouse outside of the town and start showing his goods over the internet. Nowadays so many business' are using that plan such as Amazon, Bestbuy, Alibaba. Some of them are not just working with a selling method, they are also working with an auction method. Alibaba recently announced that they have sold $157 billion worth of goods, a terrific number for a company which uses the internet as their main base. In the following years, Alibaba expected to pass the Wal-Mart's sales in total ('VentureBeat'). In general, internet brought our lives too many comforts and reliability. As I said it is up to the people to see the good side of the internet and use it. Internet is a great treasure to people who knows how to use it.

There are other changes happened in the economics and political sides too. The recent example of the economical change is the 2008 global recession started from the USA. Because of the low interest rates, some of the U.S Banks started to give high amounts of money to middle-class families. But after the Federal Reserve system adjusted higher interest rates, these people started struggling to pay the mortgage credit back to the banks and the banks which could not receive their money bank started to go bankrupt. To handle the recession the USA government announced $700 billion saving plan ('Guina'). This savings plan appears to be most expensive savings plan since the 1929 great depression. The recession has affected the world's both developed countries and the undeveloped countries. It has affected the growth rate of the big economies and the industrial production. Furthermore, it has been a decrease in the housing prices in the USA and United Kingdom and this decrease is still ongoing. Additionally, this recession has caused the unemployment rate to increase in the world ('Keynesyen'). On the other hand, the world's overall gross domestic product is increasing year after year.
