Remembered Event
Most people grow up with their parents' right there to guide them or to help them make the right choice. This was not the case for me. For as long as I can remember I lived with different family members, and when I was older I even lived with friends from school.
It all started back in 1991, when my parents got a divorce and went their own ways. I was only six years old and was very confused about why mommy and daddy were not going to be in the same home together anymore. My mom moved out of our house and did her own thing.

Things were great until her grandfather became very ill and was not going to make it through. He passed away and I was told because of the death that I would not be able to stay with them. By this time I was in the 7th grade and my mother and step father decided that they wanted to move out of the state to Texas. For once they did not mind if I went. So we all moved from Kansas City to Katy, TX; which is a small town just west of Houston. Things were going good after we got there and for once in a long time I was with one of my parents.
I continued to live with my mom through high school. In the 9th grade I
