In the play The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet the author William Shakespeare, many people argue who is at fault for the young lovers death. The couple is at fault for their own death. It is known that they are in puppy love that went way too far. The couple knew that they are from the opposite feuding family. Romeo found a new love right after being depressed about Rosaline not marrying him. When they saw each other in the ballroom of the Capulet's they realized who they are. Romeo said when he realized “Is she a capulet? O dear account! My life is my foe's debt” (1.5.6). Juliet realized after the Nurse told her that he is a montague, which she thought to herself “My only love sprung from my only hate!” (1.5.7). After the party, Romeo spies on Juliet and they learn that they love each other right after meeting each other “I gave thee mine before thou didst request it, And yet I would it were to give again” (2.2.5). Having the both new met Paris and Romeo “Juliet promises her true love to Romeo mere hours after first meeting him at her father's’ party” (Doc. B)
When the Nurse proposes, to Romeo, that he should get married to Juliet, he accepts his offer and their were wedded later that day by Friar Laurence. Friar Laurence married them thinking it would stop the families’ feud, which then it makes it worse. Then they have their “honeymoon” the night of their marriage. Lord Capulet strikes a deal with Paris to marry Juliet this Thursday. Juliet does not want to be married to Paris because she does not love him, when she just met Romeo and already married him. They are too much of strangers and not lovers to marry “These two are too quickly married and do not think of the consequences of their actions” (Doc. B).
When you thought the tension keeping a secret marriage away from your family was hard enough, Mercutio is stabbed and killed which he cursed both households “A plague o` both your houses!” (3.1.5). When word got out to Juliet about Romeo killing Tybalt, she said “Shall I speak ill of him that is my husband?” (3.2.4). Right before leaving Verona because he is banished, he sneaks in and says a farewell to Juliet. While Romeo is gone, Lord Capulet asks why she all of a sudden does not want to marry Paris, which she asks Friar Laurence for an answer. The Friar comes up with a plan
