Perception Paper
There are many perceptions I have of myself; some positive and some are negative. I wish they were all positive and I should work on the negatives more. Some of my perceptions of myself I have are I am very outgoing, friendly, and a great sense of humor. Also I just love to have fun and relax. I think I am very good at convincing someone what they are doing is right or wrong. Also I am a very modest person.
Perceptions other people have of me are I am a manipulator. I've been told I am a wheeler and dealer by my parents. They say I like to spend money and live the high roller lifestyle. They say I can be a bad influence on people and am very competitive. I think I work enough but they say I only work when I need something. Some more perceptions others have are I can always figure out how to come up with money when I need it. Also I am not a very good listener.
Some things on my collage that show how outgoing I am are the picture of me and my friend and brother on Bourbon Street. I have a silver dollar on my collage to show my appreciation of money and how much I love to have it. The poker chip and the picture of the professional poker player are some examples of living the high roller lifestyle and also the money aspect. The golf ball, and the picture of my friends and I holding the catfish is because I love to golf and I spend my whole summer either fishing or golfing. The dog in the picture is my best friend in the world Duke. Duke shows how I like to relax and just lay around like him. I admire him because he doesn't have a worry in the world and that is how I like to feel. I know people that just stress over everything and say they will never get their work done, or they will never be able to pay their bills. I look at him and he doesn't worry about anything except eating and making you happy. The Mizzou football ticket is an example of how I love to go to sporting events and be outgoing.
Others perceive me as a hard worker in sports. They say I always want my way or I pout about it till I get my way. They see me watch my diet and work hard at improving my fitness. They see me as never giving up. Injuries frustrate me. I can do any sport and I practice until I perfect it. It doesn't matter what sport it is. Others are amazed at all the things I am good at. My teachers and my peers have looked up at me as a role model. Many a time my parents were told I could do anything. I like to live the good life. I have been spoiled wonderfully. I like to golf at the nicest and most expensive courses, for example the Ocean Course and Kiawah Island. I like to eat at the finest restaurants weekly. I eat at the Country Club Plaza weekly. I take two vacations in the summer. I take a vacation with me friends and travel on vacations with his parents also, going wherever I usually want to go. I make wonderful selection choices that not only do I enjoy, but that my parents have never had an opportunity to try. I get to attend all kinds of sporting events including college and NFL football games, NHL hockey games, NBA basketball games, numerous NASCAR races and
