Topic - To what extent is Christopher’s condition responsible for the conflict that arises the 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time'

In the novel The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time written by Mark Haddon, the protagonist Christopher Boone, a 15 year old boy with Asperger’s Syndrome is not responsible for the problems that occur during the novel. Although, He is at fault for hitting a policeman and hitting the girl at school he is not at fault for any of the other conflicts that occur. Christopher is also caught between and is blamed for conflict between his mother and father. He lives with his father ( Ed ) and his mother ( Judy ) '' died 2 years ago ''

Christopher is a 15 year old boy who has a highfunctioning level of autism. He can do difficult maths problems in his head and also has an intrest of science. Chris finds interating with people difficult and uncomfortable.

One of the conflicts that Chris had caused is the where he hit the officer. At the beginning of the novel,Christopher discovered Wellington, the dog, laying on the ground dead during the middle of the night with a pitchfork stabbed into the dog. Chris '' pulled the fork '' out of Wellington and '' lifted him into [ his ] arms and hugged him. The owner of the dog, Mrs Shears ran out and called the police
