Two offenders

The two offenders I selected were Jeffery Dohmer and Aileen Wuornos. Dahmer was a serial killer and sex offender. He drugged, tortured, strangled, dismembered, ate and had sex with his victims after they were dead. To get rid of parts of the victims' body he didn't eat or want he would put in acid. He also set parts of their bodies up like trophies and take picture so he could remember something about the victim. Dahmer was charming and was able to lurer and killed 17 gay men mostly African Americans in to his apartment. Dahmer received 15 consecutive life sentencing. Jeffery Dahmer was a young man that came from a seemly normal mid-class family. Dahmer was about eight years old when he was molested by a boy next door and he began a loner and isolated from his family. Due to tension and unresolved differences in their marriage his parents divorce. His mother left town with his brother and he was left with father who was gone most of the time made him feel more abandonment and neglected. At about the age of sixteen became fixated on killing and mutilating animals. Dahmer was very intelligent but due to his excessive drinking was kick out of college and the army. By the age of nineteen he killed his first victim.
Wuornos was considers a serial offender because she killed seven men while prostituting Florida. Wuornos had a very terrible childhood and very dysfunctional family. At the age of four she and her brother were abandoned by her mother and her father was in jail for molesting a child and attempt murdered, committed suicide. Wuornos and her brother were adopted by her grandparents. Wuornos and her brother were physically and mentally abuse by their grandfather who was an alcoholic. At the age of fifteen Wuornos began to use alcohol and drugs were kick out of the house. To support her habit she turns to prostitution and got arrested for crimes like disorderly conducted and firearms, DUI, stealing cars. Wuornos brother dies of cancer at age 20. Wuornos rob and kill men because she felt they were going to rape her and she killed them in self-defense. Wuornos was arrested in 1991 and died in 2002 through lethal injection. Criminal profiling might have been effective in earlier detection and apprehension of Dahmer and Wuornos if law enforcement would have use two techniques used by profilers to profile murders.
