Academic Integrity

What are three examples of infractions that violate the Student Code of Academic Integrity?

Three examples that violates the Student Code of Academic Integrity are plagiarism, misrepresentation, and unauthorized assistance.

Why is integrity important in both academic and professional life? How do you put integrity into practice in both your academic and professional life?

Integrity is important in your academic and professional life because it is always the right thing to be honest. In life we often overlook the smallest things but what really made know the importance of integrity was once I joined the military. This was one word that they drilled in us from day one and still does. If you do not have integrity how can anyone trust you. It always good to have strong morals. Having integrity can take you very far. People would want to help an honest person before they help a liar. I put integrity into my academic life by always being honest no matter what the situation is. I would never plagiarize or cheat. In my everyday life I try to be as honest as possible because I never want anyone to lie and be dishonest to me because I have had it happen plenty of times and it does not feel good.

Discuss the resources on plagiarism available to you as student. Which is the most useful? Why?

There are plenty of resources that are available to me as a student such as the Student Code and the Plagiarism Checker and Manual. The most useful would have to be the student code because it’s warning you and giving insight on plagiarism. It gives you time to fix the issue and know what is considered plagiarizing. Unlike if you just turn in a paper to be checked.
