William Jefferson Clinton (Bill) was born in Hope Arkansas in 1946 and lived his childhood in Hot Springs Arkansas he was raised by his single mother and his maternal Grandparents.
William Clinton graduated high school with all honors and attended and graduated from Georgetown University in 1968 and earned a Rhodes scholarship to Oxford University. After studying at Oxford two years he entered Yale Law School and graduated in 1973.
He was elected Attorney General of Arkansas in 1975 and in 1978 was elected Governor of Arkansas making him one of the youngest Governor's (32). He held this office for a two year term, then was defeated the next term but, came back and won four consecutive terms He was elected President of the United States in 1992 where he served 2 terms.
One of the greatest accomplishments in his presidency was leading the nation to a period of strong economic prosperity. While President Clinton was in office the United States had the lowest unemployment rate the nation had seen in years and the lowest inflation rate in decades.
The universal theory suggests everyone has the potential to become highly intelligent although people will reach this potential at different levels depending on life circumstances. The non-universal theory suggests not everyone has the potential to become highly intelligent.
Clinton at an early age showed high intelligence, he taught himself to play the sax and was quite accomplished at this while in Arkansas. When he was a junior in high school he attended boys state where he was elected Arkansas Representative which earned him the honor of going to the white house and meeting President Kennedy.
President Clinton is still one of the most important political leaders. In November 2013, President Obama presented Clinton with the Presidential Medal of Freedom. This is the highest honor that is given to a civilian. According to the White House website, the medal is given to people for their " meritorious contributions to the security or national interests of the United States, to world peace, or to cultural or other significant public or private endeavors. "(Clinton, 2013, p. 5)
