Pamela Jimenez

Crim 3

Mr. O’Neal

In July 18, 2000 Andrew Luster was arrested for drugging three women and raping them. After the information about Luster reach police officials, the police got a search warrant for his house. Were they found all kinds of incriminating evidence, even after they found all that evidence luster was still in denial. He made all kinds of excuses and delayed court with motions for over two years. when the trial finally started, the prosecutors considered luster a flight risk, and pursued court to not give luster bail. Before the trial could even start luster was gone. Andrew luster should have never been put up for bail knowing his family as well as himself had a lot money and would have done and paid for anything to keep him out of jail.

I believe Andrews luster case was fair, even though he wasn’t there for the hearing his sentencing is what he deserved. Being on the run and knowing he was guilty for doing all those things to those women and at the time a victim minor as well. He was charged with poisoning and raping women, he had a bail set high for him, since he was risk of taking off. I do believe his was a valid sound argument, his judge at the time stated, in her ruling Stoltz made it clear that she wasn’t buying arguments hinging on ineffectiveness of Lusters previous attorneys, saying he left for Mexico voluntarily. Which clearly states he is guilty, so he got what he deserved.
