Response to Erich Formm
Sections
1. Human history beginning with an act of disobedience, enhancing it with Hebrew and Greek myths Adam and Eve, and Prometheus. (Paragraphs 1-4)
2. How disobedience and ill rational thoughts will end the world. Having to disobey others to obey your own consciences (Paragraphs 5-9)
3. The differences between obedience within consciences. Authoritarian consciences and Humanistic consciences. Also the rational and irrational authority between two people. (Paragraphs 10-19)
The reason I divided the essay up into these three main sub topics is because, Erich Fromm Started off the essay introducing the Hebrew and Greek myths and how they relate to the disobedience of mankind. The next subtopic was chosen because, Fromm was explaining about how ill rational thoughts due to disobedience were going to destroy the world. To bring it all together the last subtopic was chosen because Fromm went into detail on the different types of consciences, and how they affect people's decisions.
Summary
From the past of the human civilizations, disobedience has always taken a huge toll on what will happen in the future. Just like in the Hebrew and Greek myths of Adam and Eve and Prometheus within all rational or ill rational thoughts, major history created by mankind would have never existed if everyone was obedient. Even within these ill rational decisions between two different people from inferior to leaders, that the world might be destroyed one day because of mankind.
