Traute Klein, a German herbalist and specialist in holistic living, has mastered what she believes to be the natural healing of burn ailments. She has used her techniques to save many lives during the post-war deprivation. She has passed her knowledge of herbal healing to people of all ages. She encourages her followers to use what nature has provided as the aid for common ailments, and live in harmony with creation. In her article on the natural treatment of burns, she introduces techniques to the reader that will help them transition toward herbal medicine to cure their burn ailments.
Traute starts the article off by engulfing the reader into one of her personal experiences where immediate first aid was needed. She told the readers how she had left a chunk of her forearm on an oven rack that had heated to an immense 500o Fahrenheit. She told of how the pain was so intense that she completely forgot the necessary first aid techniques to perform. While she stood shocked glancing at her bare bone, her 10 year old son went into action. Traute luckily had instructed her son on all the methods of herbal medicine and holistic living. He brought her some Vitamin E capsules and instructed her to squeeze them into the wound. She used a 400 IU all natural Vitamin E tablet to stop the immense pain on contact. It took at least 10 minutes for her pain to completely stop. She later used the Vitamin E tablets to continue treating the burn to lessen the chances of having a scar leftover from the incident. She told the reader that the wound could hardly be traceable after 25 years; however, she could still tell it happened because new skin grew but the muscle that was lost was irreplaceable. She explains how it is a good idea to keep a capsule or two of Vitamin E around to ease the pain of burns and prevent scarring.
After Traute tells of her personal experience, she continues on in the article to speak of alternative herbal means of curing burn ailments. The first thing that Traute mentioned as an alternative herbal remedy was Aloe Vera. Aloe Vera comes in two varieties, and the smaller plant is usually house grown. The kind that is commercially based is tough and has a bitter taste. Traute describes how the smaller home grown plant is tender and tastes great. That mere fact makes it a great remedy for mouth sores and soothing gastric ulcers. Traute explains the juice extracted from the Aloe Vera plant can easily be used to treat burns. She stated that the naturally extracted juice works better than the commercially sold bottled extraction. Comfrey was another herbal remedy that she mentioned in the article. It takes some of the same properties as Aloe Vera, and its extracted juices are just as effective. She still recommends the readers use Vitamin E tablets if at all possible because waiting for relief should not be an option. Through an article called "The Guardian of a Sacred Trust" Traute tells the reader how she learned of using the application of wet clay and wet soil to also treat burn ailments. It is always handy in most instances, and can be wetted and applied easily. Traute later speaks of a Chinese method of herbal burn treatment that involves a poultice made of honey and pollen. The remedy is said to fight infections and reverse the effects of gangrene. This method is said to more expensive.
Throughout the last parts of her article, she gives instruction on how to use herbal medicine to treat a burn ailment that has already become infected. Traute instructed the readers to use all natural
