Goal and objective:

Riordan manufacturing is to build a new department for Riordan manufacturing. Installing a new virtual environmental system that will link all locations data will give the company a great advantage. Linking all locations data will allow company to share ideas and process information sooner. Linking virtual computer systems to transfer tested data will allow data to update and be viewed for testing by all locations immediately. Updates will improve communication time for Riordan manufacturing and reduce turn around time production and delivery. We plan to research how virtual environment can improve testing plastic components methods production and procedure. We have a few ideas to install software called InterCall Virtual Environment gives a company the ability to integrate communication, create branded interactive environments for training, tutorial, marketing and lower production cost.

There is another product called Vitera solution which is mainly used in the medical field but it will improve Riordan product testing format. Vitera Solutions is hands on lab designed to transfer knowledge, offer flexible learning and cost effective. Our team will research products to compare

which virtual environment process is most beneficial for Riordan Manufacturing.Background: Riordan Manufacturing is a global plastics manufacturer employing 550 people with projected annual earnings of $46 million. The company is wholly owned by Riordan Industries, a Fortune 1000 enterprise with revenues in excess of $1 billion.

Its products include plastic beverage containers produced at its plant in Albany, Georgia, custom plastic parts produced at its plant in Pontiac, Michigan, and plastic fan parts produced at its facilities in Hangzhou, China. The company's research and development is done at the corporate headquarters in San Jose. Riordan's major customers are automotive parts manufacturers, aircraft manufacturers, the Department of Defense, beverage makers and bottlers, and appliance manufacturers.

Goals: The company wants to create a new department area for R&D. The creation of a Virtual environment to test out new plastic components over virtual enjoinment. This is a new department of R&D

Project Scope: Hiring of new personal, renovation of a old office area, addition of new IT equipment and software for the testing.
