Workers health and safety to employees is a very important issue. Maintaining a healthy and safe environment will result in retaining employees longer. Many countries are not as advanced as America, so they do not require all these rules and regulations. According to the text before OSHA "there was no comprehensive national legislation about workplace safety and states laws varied greatly" (Bennett-Alexander& Hartman, 2012, p. 762). OSHA basically saved the lives of many companies by identifying who is liable for work place injuries all they have to do is follow the guidelines.
